Journal For Joy: Pregnancy Edition
Tuesday 8th July, 7.00pm-8.30pm (on Zoom)
I decided to host this workshop because, despite how grateful we are and how magical this season of our life is, pregnancy is a rollercoaster right?!
Hormones, body changes, niggling worries, unsolicited advice and comments, huge life changes and identity shifts (never mind work pressures and family responsibilities that we already have)… it’s not really surprising that positivity can sometimes feel harder to find. Journaling, however, gives us the space to do just that 🙂
I wanted to gather together a group of ladies in the same (pregnant) boat and guide you to discover how the simple-but-powerful practice of positive journaling can help you to:
🤰 Bring focus to feelgood feelings like gratitude, hope and joy
🤰 Release any anxieties or fears you might have
🤰 Explore what motherhood and this new chapter means to you
🤰 Connect with your baby
During the session I’ll share a series of uplifting pregnancy-themed journaling prompts for you to complete, with a mix of accessible creative techniques from letter-writing and list-making to drawing and poetry.
I’ll also create opportunities for you to share your thoughts, feelings and journal responses with our group, so you can find moments of connection with other pregnant people too – although there’s never any pressure to speak if you’d rather just listen.
If this sounds like the bit of me-time and positivity you’re craving right now, come and join us on Tuesday 8th July on Zoom! And if you can’t make the workshop live, no worries, it will be recorded and shared with you afterwards.
People in all stages of pregnancy are welcome and no prior journaling experience is necessary. Just turn up wearing something comfy (of course) and bring along your favourite journal and some pens/pencils. Colours are encouraged! 🌈
Send me an email on hannah@journalforjoy.co.uk if you have any questions. Otherwise I very much hope to see you there.
P.S. Once you book a ticket, I’ll add you to my list and I’ll send you the Zoom link and instructions the day before the workshop . Please make sure you put it your diary now though (I know what pregnancy brain is like) 😄
